Magnolia's guards definitely won Game 1 of the 2018 PBA Governors' Cup Finals.

Mark Barroca came through in the fourth quarter for the Hotshots while Paul Lee was his usual cool self.

However, a strong third contributor for Magnolia was definitely Jio Jalalon.

The second-year guard flirted with a triple-double in the Finals, scoring seven points, grabbing 12 rebounds, and dishing out nine assists.

His activity to start the second half was certainly crucial for the Hotshots as Magnolia weathered several Alaska runs.

With a rousing Game 1 victory on deck, Jalalon and the Hotshots quickly move on to Game 2.

A 1-0 lead is definitely not safe. The Hotshots had the same lead in the Philippine Cup Finals and still ended up losing the series in five games.
