PBA: CBC makes most of his Finals opportunity
In Game 3 of the Finals and the Aces down 0-2, CBC was a nice spark off the bench, scoring 10 points in 15 minutes of play.

Carl Bryan Cruz has been buried on the Alaska bench for the longest time.

But Sunday in a crucial Alaska outing in the 2018 PBA Governors' Cup Finals, CBC got a chance and he delivered.

In Game 3 of the Finals and the Aces down 0-2, CBC was a nice spark off the bench, scoring 10 points in 15 minutes of play.

Cruz did his best work in the second quarter, allowing Alaska to gain momentum and pull away from the Hotshots a little bit to set up a huge second half for the Aces.

"Masaya kasi nabigyan ako ng opporunity na makapag-laro at maka-deliver ng maayos," Cruz said.

"Sa part ko mahirap talaga eh, di ako nakaka-laro ng madalas. Ang motivation ko lang, stay patient and work hard lang every practice," he added.

Alaska head coach Alex Compton knows how hard Cruz works and he's happy that his forward got some good production on the chance he got in the Finals.

"He's done the work all year. You know, in a conference like this, it's always tough for bigs, because you got Mike Harris usually playing 40 minutes a game. So most of the minutes of one of the big spots goes," Compton said.

"Bryan's been active in practice, listening, asking questions, working hard, I'm really happy for him to get this kind of reward of just playing so well. He did a great job, I'm really happy for him and I'm proud of him," he added.
