Dondon Hontiveros, Gary David join LA Tenorio, Beau Belga and Mico Halili to break down the exciting rivalry of sorts that's been adding spice to the PBA Draft.
Lyceum star CJ Perez and Alab Pilipinas captain Bobby Ray Parks Jr. are the concensus top-two picks for the upcoming 2018 PBA Draft this Sunday.
What's unsure, however, is who Columbian Dyip, the owner of this year's top pick, should actually draft.
PBA legends Gary David and Dondon Hontiveros were on hand at The Score's studio along with LA Tenorio and Beau Belga last Thursday to break down the exciting rivalry of sorts between Perez and Parks that's been adding spice to the PBA Draft.
The question: Who should go first, and why?
Hontiveros, who now plays for Alab Pilipinas in the ABL, obviously had Parks Jr. as this year's top pick.
The Cebuano hotshot was all praise for Parks Jr. and his ability to take charge and lead the team, which has already been proven with Alab's championship run last season.
David, Tenorio, and Belga, however, are all for CJ being the top pick.
They all cited Perez's all-around game, his defense, and his ability to lead by example after two seasons with Lyceum.
What sets his apart, says Tenorio, was his willingness to learn, which is as important as any trait, said the Ginebra guard.
