PBA DRAFT: Pido wanted a winner and he got it in Bolick

Northport was eyeing one guy in the 2018 PBA Draft.

The Batang Pier got their man.

Northport used its no. 3 pick Sunday to take San Beda's Robert Bolick and the Batang Pier were pretty much already satisfied even with that first pick.

"It's a good pick for us," head coach Pido Jarencio said.

"Siya talaga yung ina-eye namin to complement Stanley [Pringle]," he added.

Jarencio said that the Batang Pier wanted a winner and Bolick is exactly just that.

Bolick has won titles in both the UAAP and NCAA with La Salle and San Beda respectively.

"Winner yung bata eh, we need a winner," Jarencio said.

Bolick is ready to bring that winning mentality, however, he's yet to promise anything yet in terms of the playoffs.

"Di ko pa ma-promise yan kasi ang daming magagaling na players dito," he said.

"Ipapakita ko winner mentality, pag kinausap nila ako ipapakita ko na gusto ko manalo and makikita nila na winner ako," Bolick added.
