PBA: Cone on Manuel’s decision to leave: “We wish him well”
The former UP captain has left his career with Brgy. Ginebra to pursue a career in engineering.

After one season in the PBA, Jett Manuel is moving on.

The former UP captain has left his career with Brgy. Ginebra to pursue a career in engineering.

According to head coach Tim Cone, Manuel let the team know Friday morning.

Manuel was picked 12th overall in 2017 and played sparingly for Ginebra last season, where he was part of the team that won the title in the Commissioner’s Cup.

Now, Manuel is set to make his engineering license into good use as he tries to go after a new life goal.

Cone and the rest of the Gin King couldn’t be more proud.

“That’s what he told me, that he needed to go,” Cone said.

“I was shocked to find out, we certainly wish him well, he’s a great kid,” he added.
