PBA: Blackwater not waiting on Ray Parks for now

“Kung sino ibigay sakin ng management, my job as a head coach is mapa-takbo ko yung team,” — Blackwater coach Bong Ramos.
Until there’s an actual trade approved, Bobby Ray Parks Jr. is headed to Blackwater after he’s done with San Miguel-Alab Pilipinas.
That’s only natural since the Elite used their no. 2 pick from the 2018 Draft to take Parks.
However, there was a reported three-team trade that has Parks land at Meralco though that deal is yet to officially receive a go signal from the PBA.
And so, Parks is headed to Blackwater until other things become official. Elite head coach Bong Ramos is not waiting on it though.
“[Management] na kausap nila diyan, pag dumating siya nandiyan siya. Wala pa, naglalaro sa ABL eh,” Ramos said as Parks is still in the middle of his third season with Alab Pilipinas.
“Kung sino ibigay sakin ng management, my job as a head coach is mapa-takbo ko yung team,” he added.

Regardless if they keep Parks or not, the Elite will definitely add some talent to their backcourt rotation.
But until that happens, Ramos will keep things grounded and not wait on people who could be at least a couple of months away at the very least.
“Ayoko yung tinitignan mo kaagad yung malayo, vision na yun eh. Dream mo na yun,” Ramos said.
“Kailangan para makarating ka dun, na-achieve mo na yung goal mo dito, yung ngayon. Pag nakuha mo yun, lumalapit kana dun sa dream,” he added.
