PBA: Almazan excited to rejoin Rain or Shine after 2018 saga
For reasons still unknown, Almazan was momentarily out of the Elasto Painters during the 2018 Governors’ Cup.

After a strange “AWOL” situation last year, Raymond Almazan is finally back with Rain or Shine for good.

For reasons still unknown, Almazan was momentarily out of the Elasto Painters during the 2018 Governors’ Cup.

And although his issues with the team were ultimately resolved late in the conference, ROS decided to shut him down for the rest of the season as the Elasto Painters were already eliminated from contention.

To start the 2019 season, Almazan is locked and loaded and ready to go again.

“It’s nice to be back,” Almazan said Thursday during the PBA’s first-ever Media Day at Solaire.

“Tignan natin sa All-Filipino. Excited ako kasi matagal ako di nakapag-laro eh, almost four months,” he added.

Almazan rejoins his old teammates as they look to regain their status as true contenders.

To prepare for the new season, Rain or Shine went to camp in Bahrain.

“Sana ma-apply namin yung mga natutunan namin [from Bahrain],” Almazan said.
