PBA: Desiderio quickly learns harsh reality of the pros

It didn’t take long for Paul Desiderio to learn the harsh realities of life as a PBA player.

The former UP captain was taken fourth overall by NLEX in the 2018 PBA Draft but before he could go home to celebrate, he was already in the process of being dealt to another team together with no. 7 pick Abu Tratter.

Desiderio and Tratter eventually never became Road Warriors as they were part of the deal that had JP Erram land at NLEX. The two rookies were traded to Blackwater.

Despite the roller coaster ride however, Desiderio is just happy to land in a PBA team as making it to the league was the dream inthe first place.

With the Elite, Desiderio is expected to earn his minutes though he will for sure inherit the spot left by Paul Zamar.

Zamar emerged as a contributor mid-season for Blackwater but he was traded to San Miguel in the offseason for future picks.
