Marc Pingris is oh so close to returning for the Magnolia Hotshots.

Ping suffered a torn left ACL in Game 1 of the Philippine Cup semifinals last year against NLEX and he hasn’t played basketball since.

The veteran forword was originally supposed to be out 6-8 months but he has faced some setbacks in recovery. He’s not quite there just yet and Ping is still doing more strength and conditioning stuff to make sure his knee is 100 percent ready to go.

After missing basketball for almost a full year already, the veteran star forward is raring to come back.

In the time he’s been sidelined, Ping spent most of his time cheering and watching the Hotshots win their first title in four years during the Governors’ Cup.

He just really has to get that knee right.

“Sobrang excited.

Yun yung kailangan palakasin pa,” he added.
