PBA: TNT confident it has a strong system in place

"I think we got guys who are capable of hitting those shots, so you can't get too hung up on missing those shots, you just gotta hope next game they go in," --- TNT consultant Mark Dickel.
It appears that TNT has found a system that would help the KaTropa compete in the new PBA season after a rather disastrous 2018.
Still short on frontcourt pieces, TNT is using its loaded backcourt to form a small ball group with hopes of countering opposing teams with superior size.
However, with a small ball group, it's imperative for the KaTropa to be able to cash in on their open shot brought about by ball movement.
Against Ginebra in an opening-day loss Sunday, TNT didn't necessarily cash in.
"Pretty good for three quarters, and then I thought they kinda wore us down a little bit. Ultimately, in that game we had to make some more shots if we wanted to have a chance to really trouble them," team consultant Mark Dickel said.
"We had an opportunity in the third quarter where we were getting stops, and we just didn't make the looks we got. When you play a good team like that, they make you pay for that," he added
Still, the KaTropa are hopeful to get things going throughout the year.
They're certainly more than capable, the team didn't just hit the shots they needed against Brgy. Ginebra, especially down the stretch after erasing an early 18-point deficit.
"Sometimes, what looks like easy shots, they're not. And when we did get easy shots, we missed them too. And when we got open shots, we missed them also," Dickel said.
"I think we got guys who are capable of hitting those shots, so you can't get too hung up on missing those shots, you just gotta hope next game they go in," he added.
