PBA: Pido to Bolick: “Pag masama laro mo papatayin kita“
Bolick led all scorers with 26 points, leading the Batang Pier to a strong win over Blackwater to start the 2019 PBA Philippine up.

Even before he was actually drafted into the PBA, Robert Bolick already made a promise to give it his all to the team that would ultimately take him.

Bolick was prepared to literally everything and he made sure to make that known to potential takers.

Northport eventually made the former San Beda star as the no. 3 pick of the 2018 PBA Draft and in his very first game Wednesday, Bolickk delivered like a true star.

Bolick led all scorers with 26 points, leading the Batang Pier to a strong win over Blackwater to start the 2019 PBA Philippine up.

His winning attitude is evident right from the start.

“Yung Bolick, iba yun,” Northport head coach Pido Jarencio said of his new star.

“Made na made na yung bata. He’s a winner, tsaka coachable. Nakikinig,” he added.

After such a strong start, expectations naturally rise for Bolick.

However, if there’s anyone more than capable of meeting heightened expectations, it has to be Bolick.

Jarencio certainly thinks so.

“Sabi nga niya samin, ‘basta coach ako magpapakamatay ako sa team.’ Sabi niya sa akin,” Jarencio said of Bolick.

“Sabi ko naman sa kanya, ‘pag masama laro mo papatayin kita,’” he added.

Jarencio was joking of course but what’s not is the fact that Bolick is the real deal.

The PBA has been put on notice.
