Add Alaska Aces Jeron Teng and Jake Pascual to the Juan Gomez de Liano believers.
Juan Gomez de Liano immediately came into Jeron Teng's mind when Mico Halili asked him for a current collegiate player he'd want as a teammate in the PBA.
"He's a legit point guard who can score, and pass, and does everything for the team," Teng said in an interview with The Score.
The sophomore Fighting Maroon's impressive UAAP season 81 campaign catapulted him into superstardom not just among fans, but also among his veteran peers.
"Alam naman natin yung dinala niyang legacy sa UP, dinala niya sa Finals. Kasi buong five years ko, yung UP kulelat eh," Teng said. "Yung nagawa niya talaga, to bring UP to the Finals, laking bagay talaga."
"Very promising talaga siya. Very athletic din. Well-rounded player talaga siya," Teng added.
Asked if GDL was already PBA-ready with three playing years left in UP, Teng and Alaska teammate Jake Pascual had no doubts.
"Feel ko," said Teng. "Very talented talaga e."
"Oo, for me yung talent, pwede na sa PBA," Pascual chimed. "Pero yung experience lang."
