NLEX's Poy Erram and Rain or Shine's Beau Belga are two of the most formindable big men in the PBA.
Erram, at 6'8", was recently hailed as the Defensive Player of the Year for 2018, while the hulking Belga has earned a disctincion as one of the most fearsome forwards in the league.
So it was just appropriate that the two big men were the special guests for The Score last Thursday, as the topic was the most "nakakapikon", or pesky players in the PBA.
Erram had his co-guest Belga on his list.
"Before I came to the league, alam ko na ganun yung attitude niya, yung game niya," Erram said. "Mafe-feel mo talaga yung swagger.
Belga's reputation and size adds to the fear factor, added Erram.
Pano niya dalhin sarili niya, nakakapikon talaga e, diba?" Poy said of Beau, adding "Tsaka nakatikim na rin ako ng siko niya."
Belga, meanwhile, had Phoenix's Calvin Abueva on the top of his list.
"[It's because of] the way he plays," said Beau.
Abueva's sheer unpredictability and relentless motor, as well as his antics keep him on the most pesky players list for Belga and Erram.
Erram and Belga however, acknowledged how much fun it could be playing alongside a baller like Calvin.
Another player Beau hates going up against is San Miguel center June Mar Fajardo, and with good reason.
"Napipikon ako kay June Mar not in a negative way. In a positive way na ang galing niya," Belga said.
Fajardo instills so much fear into his opponents' psyche that Beau admits to thinking about their match-up as early as the night before.
But it's not because of his play. Both Erram and Belga said Fajardo plays within the rules. He's just that good.
"He knows how to use his body. Kasi 5-time MVP, tapos sobrang galing pa niya tapos bata pa. Parang andami pa niyang magagawa," Erram said.
"Hassle siya sa buhay pag kalaban mo siya," Belga said, perhaps giving Fajardo the ulimate compliment.
Erram even went as far as likening his hate for June Mar as the people's hate for retired Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant.
"Parang sa NBA, you hate Kobe so much pero you love him kasi pano siya maglaro, ganun si June Mar sa PBA." he said.
