If you check the tape you’ll see that he threw an elbow right before the altercation -- Nico Salva on Marcio Lassiter
Marcio Lassiter threw an elbow first.
Meralco forward Nico Salva cleared his side in the third quarter altercation between him and the San Miguel Beer guard that eventually led to a double technical foul Friday night in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo.
“If you check the tape you’ll see that he threw an elbow right before the altercation,” Salva told ABS-CBN Sports after the Bolts’ 93-105 loss to the Beermen.

Salva just reacted on what he alleged was a cheap shot from Lassiter late in the third quarter.
"So that made me react and say something to him," Salva said.
The two were seen barking at each other as they went up court with San Miguel up, 69-56. Lassiter then drew an offensive foul from Salva and followed it up with a step-back jumper after shaking off the Bolts forward.
Lassiter then drilled a triple over the outstretched arms of Salva before roaring right in the face of the Meralco player, bumping bodies in the process as officials whistled a double technical with 3:11 left in the period.
The SMB player, who finished with a game-high 25 points on 10-of-17 field goal shooting, said that Salva woke him up and ‘barked the wrong tree’.
Something that didn’t sit well with Salva.
“I did not ‘bark (at) the wrong tree’. I just defended myself and the team,” said Salva, who scored three points and pulled down five rebounds.
