PBA: Almazan nearing true 100 percent for ROS
Almazan played 21 minutes in the win over the Aces and posted 10 points on top four rebounds and three blocks.

Sunday against Alaska, Raymond Almazan arguably played his best game for Rain or Shine since his return to the team after last year’s drama.

Almazan played 21 minutes in the win over the Aces and posted 10 points on top four rebounds and three blocks.

That’s respectable considering that Almazan’s return was delayed by an ankle injury just before the season started.

“He’s slowly getting back,” head coach Caloy Garcia on his top center.

“Medyo kinakapos pa yung hangin niya but at least now, he can see that other players are stepping up, kaya if you look at the playing time of the players, hati-hati talaga sila. So we tried to give at least equal opportunities to everybody,” he added.

Rain or Shine operating at full speed is only beneificial to Almazan returning to peak form.

So far, the Elasto Painters are gettning meaningful production across the board led by Beau Belga and top rookie Javee Mocon.

“I think one key also for us, if we want to go far, is Beau. Kasi si Beau, if he plays well nanadala niya yung team eh,” Garcia said.

“So he has to play well every game if we want to go far,” he added.
