PBA: Kevin Alas confirmed to have another torn ACL
Alas first injured his right knee early in Game 5 of the 2018 Philippine Cup semifinals also at the Ynares Center. The NLEX guard was just five games into his return from the initial ACL tear.

Some unfortunate news have been verified.

Kevin Alas has indeed suffered another ACL tear in the same right knee as confirmed by the NLEX Road Warriors.

Saturday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo, Alas hurt his right knee after going down from a rebound play against the Meralco Bolts.

Alas tried to continue playing but was eventually checked out of NLEX’s eventual victory in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup. Alas tried to downplay the injury and hoped for the best post-game just before he went to the hospital for an MRI.

However, lady luck proved to be not on Kevin’s side as he did suffer from another torn ACL.
