PBA: Terrence Romeo solely focused on basketball for SMB
"Gusto ko lang magbasketball. Manalo. Makatulong sa team," the multiple-time scoring champ said.

In his first two games with the San Miguel, high-scoring guard Terrence Romeo saw his Beermen come up short both times.

San Miguel would go on to win two outings, but Romeo would be sidelined with an injury for both victories.

Tonight however, San Miguel's newest acquisition was on the court to help his team to a third straight W.

With all the fanfare surrounding his trade from the TNT KaTropa, all Romeo wants now is to play no-frills basketball, his eyes solely focused on getting as much time as he can on the floor.

"Gusto ko lang magbasketball. Manalo. Makatulong sa team," the multiple-time scoring champ said.

For his part, the Bro tallied career-highs with his new San Miguel squad, Wednesday evening at the Mall of Asia Arena, scoring 17 points, pulling down 5 rebounds, and dishing out 4 assists in over 24 minutes of action.

Now at an even 3-3, San Miguel is looking to have favorable results in their final five games of the Philippine Cup in order take some momentum heading to the playoffs, where they will defend their title for the fourth straight year.

With the 93-79 win over Blackwater, San Miguel has moved on and will set their sights against sister team Magnolia.

"Marami pa kaming dapat ayusin. Marami pa kaming dapat i-correct. Di magiging madali mga next game namin so kailangan namin mag-focus. Yung game na to, makalimutan na namin, tignan yung mga pagkakamali namin tapos pagdating sa next game, sana ma-scout namin ng maayos yung Magnolia and ma-execute namin yung plays namin," said Romeo.

For mentor Leo Austria, the team will always be behind the mercurial guard's back, as he works himself back to form.

"Terrence, slowly, he was able to recover from his injury, and he's trying to get to his rhythm. I'm happy with his teammates, dahil they keep on supporting Terrence eh. And Terrence naman, alam natin anytime, once na he gets into his rhythm, I think everybody will be happy for him."
