PBA: Dominant Beermen demolish Hotshots in Finals rematch

Looks like San Miguel has found its groove.
The reigning four-time PBA Philippine Cup Champions finally scored their first signature win of 2019, picking up a rather convincing 113-92 win over Magnolia Sunday at the Big Dome.
Coming in hot right from the start, the rematch of the 2018 Finals was barely close and the Beermen won back-to-back games for the first tiime this season.
San Miguel improved to 4-3 with the 21-point demolition job and dropped the Hotshots to 0-2.
“I think our last game against Blackwater gave us some momentum going to this game. And then, wala akong masabi sa mga players ko,” head coach Leo Austria said.
“They were so focused, and maybe they know what's the importance of this game. Because, Magnolia is really a tough team. But most of the players really prepared for this game,” he added.
San Miguel started the game with a 10-0 run, setting up the wire-to-wire win.
Three players scored at least 20 points for the Beermen led by Arwind Santos with 29 points built around seven three-pointers.
Terrence Romeo added 23 points on 80 percent shooting for his best game with San Miguel while five-time MVP June Mar Fajardo was good for 22 points.
The Hotshots got 19 points from Ian Sangalang and 16 from Paul Lee in the loss.
