PBA: Finals rematch and battle of top-2 teams on deck
San Miguel features an even 3-3 mark while the Hotshots look for their first win of the year to improve a current 0-1 standing.

Sunday’s PBA gameday appears to be the biggest one of the new season just yet.

In the first game at 4:30 p.m., no. 1 Phoenix takes on no. 2 Rain or Shine to see which team gets pole position just as the 2019 Philippine Cup takes a break for Gilas Pilipinas.

The Pulse Fuel Masters are on a franchise-best start, entering with a clean 5-0 record after surviving another close game Friday.

Phoenix relied on a last-second block by star forward Calvin Abueva to escape NLEX, 83-82.

Meanwhile, the Elasto Painters are on a three-game winning streak and will carry a strong 5-1 mark after also surviving a close game Friday.

ROS used a final 10-0 run, sparked by a clutch James Yap triple to frustrate Northport, 107-100.

In the main 6:45 p.m. game, four-time defending champion San Miguel Beer will face one of the teams it beat in its current All-Filipino dynasty.

The Beermen draw Magnolia Sunday and it was the Hotshots that challenged San Miguel last season but to no avail.

San Miguel features an even 3-3 mark while the Hotshots look for their first win of the year to improve a current 0-1 standing.
