San Sebastian College-Recoletos will have a new look for the upcoming 2019 PBA D-League.
That goes for its lineup which will no longer have longtime fixture Michael Calisaan and will instead be led by versatile forward Allyn Bulanadi and scoring guard RK Ilagan.
That also goes for its uniforms which will now carry the City of Valencia in front. “We thank the mayor and the city council for their support to the team. We want to have a solid partnership in the field of local sports development especially in basketball,” head coach Egay Macaraya said in the announcement of their partnership on Wednesday inside Baste’s Recto campus.
The young city from Bukidnon pledged support to the Manila-based school to provide its locals an avenue to the big leagues.
Last season, San Sebastian comprised the core of Che’Lu Bar and Grill which registered back-to-back runner-up finishes.
Now, the Valencia-Baste Golden Harvest are only hoping for sustained success. They open their campaign opposite Marinerong Pilipino on Thursday in Pasig’s Ynares Arena.
