PBA: “We not me,” says Jeron as undermanned Aces win again
Teng, who has proven himself to be a key rotation piece for the Aces, played his best game of the season in almost 30 minutes of play. On top of his 18 points, he also had six rebounds and three assists.

Everyone’s been stepping up for Alaska in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup as the team continues to deal an incredible laundry list of injuries.

Veterans have been dependable and the newer guys are taking larger roles.

One of the young ones to have a big game was Jeron Teng Wednesday who fired a team-high 18 points in the close win against Blackwater.

Teng, who has proven himself to be a key rotation piece for the Aces, played his best game of the season in almost 30 minutes of play. On top of his 18 points, he also had six rebounds and three assists.

“Ready lang ako eveytime,” Teng said.

“Kapag pinasok ako sa court, I always try to give my best and whatever role coach asks me to play, I’ll do it. Whatever it takes to win,” he added.

Several role players stepping up for Alaska should not be that surprising according to Teng.

They’re just living up to the team’s core values.

“We not me, we don’t rely on anybody. Anybody on the court is ready to play,” Teng said.

“Siguro composure lang, we just still stuck to the system and good thing we made crucial baskets at the end. I think it was a good win for us despite the game being close at the end,” he added of their two-point decision over the Elite.
