Although just for a few minutes, the siblings became physical, as if it were a faceoff between mentor and mentee in the ultimate test.
For the longest time, Jeepy Faundo had dreamed of facing his big brother Bryan in the paint.
Ever since the older Faundo started playing in the PBA a decade ago, Jeepy had always aimed of being good enough to make it to the pros, and finally have a chance at facing his idol.
Although just for a few minutes, the siblings became physical, as if it were a face-off between mentor and mentee in the ultimate test.
It was to be the first time the two would meet inside the court since they were children, and the duo expressed their excitement before the matchup.
When the dust finally settled, Jeepy and the Dyip came out on top in a thriller, 86-85, storming back from a 15-point deficit in the first half.
The two had talked after their brief matchup, as the wiser older brother shared some pointers after seeing his not-so-little sibling miss two easy ones in crunch time.
Bryan even managed to take a playful jab or two.
As for Jeepy, he gets the last laugh, ending up with three points and four rebounds, and more importantly, the win.
