PBA: Vic Manuel eyes Philippine Cup playoffs return

Now clear from his iliotibial band friction syndrome, all Vic Manuel has to manage is the stiffness and tightening in his lower back.
Alaska Aces forward Vic Manuel says that he is targeting a Philippine Cup playoff return as he continues to recover from his lower back injury.
However, that return may be delayed if Alaska does not rebound from their current 2-2 record.
Even though that may be the case, Manuel is very much confident his undermanned team can salvage a playoff run, and if so, confident that he could help them in the postseason.
With such a sensitive injury, doctors are wary of clearing for his return, that is why both sides are being cautious and are really not rushing for an immediate return.
"Medyo maganda naman na yung pakiramdam ko pero kailangan talaga ipahinga, ayaw pa namin isugal. Mas mahirap, mas lalala. Delikado daw kapag sa likod yung injury. Hindi naman katulad noong sa mga legs lang," Manuel explained.
Now clear from his iliotibial band friction syndrome, all he has to manage is the stiffness and tightening in his lower back.
The question whether they make the playoffs is another one, but the Muscle Man is confident they can, as his injured teammates Jvee Casio and Kevin Racal are projected to return earlier than the hulking forward.
"Siguro kaya naman nila eh. Alam kong kaya nilang manalo. Kahit na wala pa kami, yung iba. Expect na rin ata na makakabalik yung iba. Ako lang yung last pa. Kaya yan. Susuportahan ko sila."
