PBA: Magnolia finally gets first win in Philippine Cup

Magnolia barely avoided another loss in the All-Filipino.
The Hotshots are finally on the board in 2019, picking up a big 92-86 win over Meralco in the Philippine Cup Saturday at Cagayan de Oro City.
Limiting the Bolts to only 13 points in the fourth quarter, Magnolia grinded this win out, arresting a three-game slide and improved to 1-3 in the standings.
Before this victory, the Hotshots remained as the only winless team in the Philippine Cup.
Jio Jalalon scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Magnolia. Paul Lee and Mark Barroca returned from Gilas duty and posted 15 and 11 points respectively.
Meralco got 22 points from Chris Newsome but the Bolts dropped a third straight game for a 2-5 mark.
