Garcia on loss vs Columbian:
It was not the best of outputs from his squad, highlighting the lack of cohesion among his players.

Rain or Shine head coach Caloy Garcia hopes the Elasto Painters can clear their minds and stay focused on the homestretch of the Philippine Cup eliminations.

This is after his team lost their fourth straight contest to the Columbian Dyip, 85-82, Wednesday evening at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

It was not the best of outputs from his squad, highlighting the lack of cohesion among his players.

“I think we're assured of the Top Six but mentality namin has to change. Medyo after the long break sabi ko sa kanila nag-iba na yung ugali nila, parang naging selfish-minded sila,” Garcia said after the game.

With a 7-3 record, they could very well end the eliminations on a high note against the lowly Meralco Bolts, as long as the team finds their groove once more.

Even though they lost their fourth straight to Columbian, he could only thank his team for sparking a hot start, allowing them to afford such upsets.

He also joked that he should be given some sort of thanks for the win streak.

“Dapat bigyan na lang kami ng kotse ng Columbian eh,” Garcia quipped.
