PBA: Columbian wants breakthrough playoff appearance
While the conference is still far from over, six wins usually guarantee a spot in the playoffs. The Dyip have the golden opportunity to get there.

In the last three PBA Philippine Cups prior to this season, Columbian is only averaging two wins per conference in the All-Filipino.

That has changed in 2019 as the Dyip are in the thick of the playoff races with a 4-5 record.

Naturally, it’s a big deal for Columbian.

“Coming to four wins, this is a record for us,” head coach Johnedel Cardel said.

“In the All-Filipinos in the past five years, lagi isang panalo. I’m just happy to have four wins right now,” he added.

Asserting their mastery over Rain or Shine, the Dyip maintained their position in the top eight, which would mean a breakthrough playoff appearance in the All-Filipino.

That’s the goal for Columbian now and they have another two games to seal a huge team milestone.

While the conference is still far from over, six wins usually guarantee a spot in the playoffs. The Dyip have the golden opportunity to get there.

“We’re looking at the quarterfinals, much better kung makapasok kami,” Cardel said.
