ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal — TNT gets perhaps its best win of the new PBA season.
The KaTropa took down no. 1 Rain or Shine Sunday at the Ynares Center here, scoring a big 100-92 victory in the 2019 Philippine Cup.
Using a strong boost from its bench, TNT took control of the game rather early and held on late, improving to 4-3 in the standings following back-to-back wins, including four of their last five.

Late in the fourth, the KaTropa gave a 16-4 run as the Elasto Painters cut a 16-point deficit to just four.
However, Castro was steady from the line and the Blur helped ice the win in favor of the flagship MVP franchise.
"We need to win every game if we can para makahabol kami," head coach Bong Ravena said as the KaTropa start to gain ground in the team standings after a 0-2 start.
"Hopefully, our next game would be a good one," he added
Gilas boys Castro and Rosario scored 20 points each as reserves while Cruz returned from injury to add another 15 points for TNT. The Blur also had an additional 10 assists and seven rebounds.
ROS got 18 points from James Yap but the Elasto Painters lost their grip at no.1 after dropping to 7-2.
