PBA: Streaking Hotshots brace for Manila Clasico
Magnolia now has to prepare for rival Ginebra for its next game and Lee insists that that’s the game to watch for them.

The Magnolia Hotshots are starting to get hot.

After a 0-3 start, Magnolia has won three of its last four games. Wednesday at the Big Dome, the Hotshots got their first winning streak of the 2019 Philippine Cup and their playoff chase is in full effect.

However, while they look like they turned the tables and are peaking at the right time, not much has changed with the Hotshots and that is according to star guard Paul Lee himself.

“Kasi yung first three games namun, yung dalawa dun dapat panalo na eh. Breaks of the game hindi lang napunta samin, ni-remind kami ni coach na before, yung ibang laro namin na panalo breaks of the game napunta lang samin,” he said.

“Yung sitwasyon ngayon, kailangan lang namin harapin yun kasi hindi napunta samin yung breaks. So ano lang, ready lang kami kung sino yung sa harapan namin,” Lee added.

Magnolia now has to prepare for rival Ginebra for its next game and Lee insists that that’s the game to watch for them.

The Hotshots’ recent run at success will go for naught if they pull off that win Sunday.

“Good for us na we’re peaking at the right time. Hopefully, wag maputol yung streak namin dito,” Lee said after Magnolia’s big win over Columbian.

“We need to keep working hard. Lagi kami nire-remind na lahat ng panalo namin balewala kung matatalo kami sa Sunday. We need to be ready,” he added.
