ANTIPOLO CITY -- Blackwater head coach Bong Ramos rued the limited preparation time for the conference that resulted to the Elite’s lackluster showing in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup.

The Elite closed the season-opening with a woeful two wins in 11 outings that landed Blackwater at the cellar.

For Ramos it could have been a promising conference if they only had enough prep time.

“Siguro akin lang, hindi ko kasi nakita kasi isang tuneup nga lang kami tapos larga na kami,” said Ramos following the Elite’s 87-97 loss to Magnolia on Friday at the Ynares Sports Center here.

The Elite ended the conference on a three-game slide.

Asked if he thinks that the complexion of their conference campaign would’ve been better if their pick in the PBA Draft Rayray Parks had suited up, Ramos could only guess.

Pero syempre 'di guaranteed 'yun,” said Ramos referring to the no. 2 overall pick that is still finishing his contract with Alab Pilipinas in the ABL.

Maaaring mag-iba. Maaring mag-iba ng positive o mas lalong lumubog. Mahirap naman maging manghuhula,” added Ramos.

Ramos will give his wards a couple of weeks of rest before starting they preparation for the Commissioner’s Cup slated middle of May.
