Can Rey Guevarra extend his PBA dunk dynasty in Calasiao?
Slam Dunk King Rey Guevarra will aim for history.
Phoenix’s reserve forward will make an appearance to the 2019 PBA All-Star Games where he will defend his Slam Dunk crown anew.
Guevarra won a fourth title in Batangas in 2018 and in Calasiao, Pangasinan this year, Fafa Rey goes for a fifth that will allow him to tie KG Canaleta for most Dunk titles in PBA history.
Ready to challenge Guevarra is former champion Chris Newsome who won in 2017.
Also in the mix are Blackwater’s Renz Palma, Northport’s Lervin Flores, and no. 1 rookie CJ Perez of Columbian.
The Slam Dunk contest will be the main attraction of the All-Star side events Friday at the Calasiao Sports Complex in Pangasinan.
The 2019 PBA All-Star weekend is supported by cignal/PBA Rush, Tag Huer, Peak, Molten/Mueller, Gatorade and Crystal Clear.
