Yap is back for another go at the All-Star Games and this year in Calasiao, the Rain or Shine gunner will take on an elite list of marksmen also gunning for the crown.

After re-establishing himself as the PBA’s 3-point king in 2019, James Yap is set to welcome a host of challengers as he defends his shootout crown this year.

Yap is back for another go at the All-Star Games and this year in Calasiao, the Rain or Shine gunner will take on an elite list of marksmen also gunning for the crown.

San Miguel’s Marcio Lassiter, Phoenix’s Matthew Wright, TNT’s RR Pogoy, and Ginebra’s Kevin Ferrer are some big names that will challenge Yap for the crown.

Also in the mix are Simon Enciso (Alaska), Philip Paniamogan (NLEX), Robert Bolick (Northport), Mike Digregorio (Blackwater), Reden Celda (Columbian), Baser Amer (Meralco), and old Yap pal PJ Simon of Magnolia.

All of Yap’s challengers have yet to win a 3-point crown while Big Game James is gunning for his third overall.

The 3-point shootout will be one of the highlights of the 2019 PBA All-Star Game festivities on Friday in Pangasinan.

The 2019 PBA All-Star weekend is supported by cignal/PBA Rush, Tag Huer, Peak, Molten/Mueller, Gatorade and Crystal Clear.
