JDV says South dance team in good hands with Scottie and Jio
“Who’s in the [South] line-up? Scottie and Jio. Yeah. It will be those two guys for sure because they love to dance,” Devance said when asked who he expects to lead his All-Star team to the dance off.

CALASIAO, Pangasinan — Perhaps more than the actual All-Star game itself, the event that draws the most anticipation during the PBA All-Star weekend is the dance off.

Some players take the dance off more serious than the actual All-Star Game as well.

Joe Devance is one of those players who will go all in for the dance off.

Unfortunately, the multi-titled Ginebra forward is out for the 2019 All-Star here due to nagging injuries and he’s looking at his South All-Star teammates to carry on the grand tradition of winning the dance off.

“Who’s in the [South] line-up? Scottie and Jio. Yeah. It will be those two guys for sure because they love to dance,” Devance said when asked who he expects to lead his All-Star team to the dance off.

“They’re like little twins, they’re best of friends. They will get the job done,” he added.

While he’s out for this year, JDV plans on making a return for the next All-Star Games.

He wants to make sure his undefeated streak in the All-Star dance off lives. It’s the reason why he wants to be in the PBA’s annual event.

“I’m undefeated in the dance off, never lost, not one time,” he said.

“That’s why I take so much pride in the dance off, that’s what everyone wants to see. I’m wishing my South All-Star teammates luck. Hopefully we could win the dance off and not break the cycle,” Devance added.
