PBA: Can San Miguel save its All-Filipino dynasty?
San Miguel dropped Game 2 Monday and the Beermen look to recover in Game 3 in order to extend their reign as the top team in the PBA.

San Miguel Beer’s All-Filipino dynasty is officially in trouble.

The reigning four-time champions are facing a do-or-die situation in the first round of the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup playoffs as they are tied with rival TNT in their best-of-3 quarterfinals clash.

San Miguel dropped Game 2 Monday and the Beermen look to recover in Game 3 in order to extend their reign as the top team in the PBA.

That’s easier said than done however, with TNT actually controlling both games of this series so far. If not for June Mar Fajardo doing some clutch work in Game 1, the Beermen would have been swept already.

Instead, the champs get another chance to take down the rival KaTropa and it all gets decided Wednesday as both Perpetual champions meet for the last time this conference. Tip off will be at 4:30 p.m. live fro the Big Dome.

Winner moves on to face top-ranked Phoenix in the next round.

Also in a sudden death situation are Ginebra and Magnolia who will take the court at 7:00 p.m. for the second game.

The Hotshots scored a big Game 2 win to extend Manila Clasico quarters to a deciding game and now both rivals fight for the right to take on no. 2 Rain or Shine in the semifinals.
