San Miguel Beer’s All-Filipino dynasty will live on.
The Beermen delivered a masterful performance Wednesday, crushing rival TNT in sudden death Game 3 of their 2019 PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals series at the Big Dome, 96-86.
Behind the near-perfect shooting of its twin towers, San Miguel dominated right from the start and never gave the KaTropa a chance.
Five-time MVP June Mar Fajardo shot 11 out of 11 from the field for 32 points while Christian Standhardinger went 8 for 9 for 17 points. The two no. 1 picks also combined for 23 rebounds in an absolutely overwhelming performance.
In winning this series 2-1, the defending four-time champion Beermen move on to the semifinals to take on no. 1 Phoenix in a best-of-7 showdown.
