PBA: ROS moving on despite bad Game 3 loss: “We’re still up“
The second-ranked Elasto Painters maintain a 2-1 lead despite an absolute meltdown Tuesday, losing by double figures even after having the lead for a good 31 minutes of the ball game.

Magnolia has pulled a game back in these PBA semifinals with a Game 3 win but the fact remains that Rain or Shine is still in control of the series.

The second-ranked Elasto Painters maintain a 2-1 lead despite an absolute meltdown Tuesday, losing by double figures even after having the lead for a good 31 minutes of the ball game.

In the fourth quarter, Rain or Shine scored only 11 points. The Elasto Painters were outscored by Ian Sangalang who scored 12 in the final period.

“They went to Sangalang in the end and we had no answer to stop him,” head coach Caloy Garcia said.

“He scored 12 points in the fourth quarter, I think that was the game. They went to Sangalang and we couldn’t contain him,” he added.

While the ending to Game 3 was bad for ROS, the team will be treating the collapse as a lesson learned for the rest of the series.

After all, Magnolia still only has one win and they have two.

“We’re still up in the series, 2-1,” Garcia said.

“I think we just have to learn from this loss, especially in the 4th quarter, we scored only 11 points. I think we have to be more aggressive in attacking the basket. We couldn't make the shots today but we still remain confident that we're going to bounce back,” he added.
