PBA: Standhardinger fined P20k for F2 on Calvin
Christian Standhardinger has been fined P20,000 for his F2 on Calvin Abueva during Game 2 of the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup semifinals.

For his flagrant foul penalty 2 during Game 2 of the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup semifinals against Phoenix, San Miguel’s Christian Standhardinger has been penalized by the Commissioner’s Office.

Standhardinger has been fined P20,000 for his F2 on Calvin Abueva in the first half of Game 2.

During a rebound play, Standhardinger and Abueva both went down and Christian’s foot landed right in the face of the Beast.

That looked like an accident but Standhardinger was tossed for an apparent second kick to Abueva’s nether regions.

Replay was not clear about that but Calvin did act like his family jewels received a solid hit.

Standhardinger has since issued an apology for the first hit to Abueva’s face, a hit he says was purely accidental.

Abueva was also fined by the PBA, with the Beast having to pay P15,000 for flashing his middle fingers multiple times.

Also fined by the league was Doug Kramer (P5,000 for flagrant foul penalty 1).

Standhardinger avoided suspension and will be available for the Beermen in Game 3. San Miguel leads the best-of-7 series, 2-0.
