PBA: Belga sets the example as ROS comes through with big W
Big Beau did what any great leader would do, he set the example and everyone else followed.

Without a doubt, Beau Belga is one of Rain or Shine’s key leaders.

As a veteran and champion, Big Beau has earned that right.

And so with the Elasto Painters facing elimination in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup semifinals, Belga led his team to a huge victory in Game 6, forcing a three-all tie in the series to go to a deciding Game 7.

Big Beau did what any great leader would do, he set the example and everyone else followed.

“Syempre di pwedeng salita lang, you need to show them [how it’s done],” said Belga who did his thing with 15 points in the Game 6 win.

“As a veteran, you need to show kung anong klaseng player ka for them [teammates] to follow,” he added.

For Game 6, Belga made it a point that there was no turning back for ROS.

Leave everything on the floor to get the win. Rest when you’re done.

“Looking forward to this game, sabi ko sa kanila do-or-die, wala na preserve-preserve ng energy,” he said

“Dito na labas lahat kasi pag natalo tayo, pwede tayo mag-pahinga bukas, kahit isang linggo pa. Good thing everybody stepped up this game,” Belga added.

ROS won Game 6 and with Game 7 on the horizon, the second-ranked Elasto Painters are looking forward to give a repeat performance.

“Focus muna, forget about the negative thoughts, isipin lang dun muna sa positive,” Belga said.

Whatever happens, even if we lose as long as we gave everything no regrets to,” he added.
