PBA: No regrets for Yap, ROS after bitter Game 7 loss
After a bitter Game 7 loss where they lost a 17-point lead in the second half, Yap says ROS will only grow stronger.

Rain or Shine certainly gave its best and so the Elasto Painters have no regrets in losing Game 7 of the Philippine Cup semifinals to Rain or Shine in overtime.

However, there are always some key moments where one wishes he could have a second chance.

For James Yap, his last shot of the game could have been different if he had another crack at it.

Down two with less than 10 second to go, Yap drove the lane and was met with multiple Magnolia defenders at the basket.

He missed and Game 7 was pretty much over there.

“Mayroon pa rin pumapasok sa isip mo na, ‘Yung last shot ko sayang talaga. Dapt jinumpshot ko yun,’” Yap said.

“Basta alam mo sa sarili mo na binigay mo best mo [no regrets]. Siguro hindi lang talaga para sayo,” he added.

After a bitter Game 7 loss where they lost a 17-point lead in the second half, Yap says ROS will only grow stronger.

If the Elasto Painters find themselves in another Game 7 situation, they can react better after getting a first-hand demonstration of how to get things done courtesy of the Hotshots.

“Siguro yung experience malaking bagay pa rin yun kasi sila kaka-champion lang nila so yung experience na kapag gitgitan yung laro, nandoon talaga. Kami, medyo nagpa-panic pa, especially itong Game 7 pa,” Yap said.

“Ako happy ako na nangyari din sa amin ito, malaking bagay sa amin ito as a team. Gusto ko yung ganito na natututo yung mga teammates ko and team, dito kami magiging solid pagdating sa mga ganitong laro, kailangan relaxed lang,” he added.
