PBA Finals: June Mar keeps it positive after Game 1 stunner
Despite June Mar being the only bright spot for his team pretty much, the Beermen still only lost by five to Magnolia and the Hotshots had a pretty strong, balanced attack.

Without a doubt, June Mar Fajardo was the biggest bright spot for San Miguel Beer in a Game 1 loss to start the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup Finals.

The five-time MVP scored a game-high 35 points and grabbed a game-high 21 rebounds.

With his backcourt firing blanks in a relatively close game, June Mar scored 15 points in the fourth quarter.

San Miguel had a total of 21 in the period.

“Kailangan umiskor eh,” Fajardo said.

“Hinahanap ako, pinapasahan ako kaya kailangan ko mag-contribute. Sayang nga lang natalo,” he added.

That only bodes well for the champs moving forward. They know if they can get it together, the chances of winning become sky high.

“Medyo pangit ang nilaro namin pero up lang sila by five,” Fajardo said.

“Paano kung maganda, kung pumapasok yung shooting namin? Kailangan lang talaga mag-bounce back. Positive lang lagi,” he added.
