PBA Finals: Lassiter’s confidence rising after Game 2 effort
Lassiter bounced back for Game 2 of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals, contributing to champion San Miguel’s series-tying victory.

After a zero-point effort in Game 1, Marcio Lassiter is officially back in business.

Lassiter bounced back for Game 2 of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals, contributing to champion San Miguel’s series-tying victory.

While he still only shot 30 percent from the field, Marcio hit 15 points in the Game 2 win. That’s 15 more during the Beermen’s Game 1 loss.

“I definitely think I do [turning things around]. In the first half, I wasn’t as aggressive. I think it was maybe because of the fouls,” he said.

“But in the second half I was able to get more aggressive and look for my shots and they were able to come down in the end,” Lassiter added.

A big shot Marcio hit in the end was a booming triple for San Miguel Beer to stop a late Magnolia rally.

Down by as many as 21 points, the Hotshots cut the deficit to 11 with 1:55 to go.

Lassiter squashed that uprising before it gained any more traction by drilling a triple, his second of the game and the whole series, on a secondary break with 1:31 remaining.

“I definitely think so, it’s a confidence booster [late 3]. You just kinda need one so I’m just hoping to build upon that and get some more good looks,” he said.

“I gotta thank my teammates honestly, they keep telling to just shoot it. I gotta thank my teammates for uplifting me and continuing to support me, it means a lot. I just gotta keep shooting,” Marcio added.
