PBA Finals: Hotshots have no reason to be down
Despite taking a beating in Game 4, the Hotshots are still only staring at a tied series.

Magnolia wanted a long series against defending champion San Miguel Beer in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup Finals to have a chance.

Now, the Hotshots got that long series but whether or not the development will favor them remains to be seen.

Following Wednesday’s Game 4, Magnolia has lost its 2-1 series lead and the All-Filipino Finals will now go for at least six games, one more than last year featuring the same two teams.

“Sana ganun no, yun naman hinihiling ni Coach Chito [Victolero] samin. Habang tumatagal yung series, feeling niya okay para samin,” guard Paul Lee said.

Sana lahat umayon samin. Pero hindi pa naman matatapos, kailangan talaga namin paghirapan. San Miguel they’ll show championship character,” he added.

Despite taking a beating in Game 4, the Hotshots are still only staring at a tied series.

Magnolia has never been actually down in these Finals and there’s no reason for them to do so now even though they just lost by 16 tio the Beermen.

“Wala naman reason para ma-down kami ngayon. Isipin na lang namin kung saan galing yung team namin, kung paano nag-start yung team namin dito sa conference,” Lee said, noting on the adversity Magnolia has gone through before actually making the Finals.

“I think wala na dahilan para maging down samin,” he added.
