PBA Finals: Victolero positive of their chances in Game 7
Magnolia has the chance to end the greatest All-Filipino dynasty ever Wednesday, with a win against the Beermen meaning that the Hotshots will put themselves in the history books as the team that stopped an unprecedented 5-peat.

On Wednesday, Magnolia will play its second straight Game 7 in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup.

However, this time the Hotshots will have a lot more to gain if they win.

Magnolia has the chance to end the greatest All-Filipino dynasty ever Wednesday, with a win against the Beermen meaning that the Hotshots will put themselves in the history books as the team that stopped an unprecedented 5-peat.

That’s some overwhelming pressure right there but that also sounds like a lot of fun.

“We just try to stay positive. Lahat ng Xs and Os will be secondary. I told my players let’s just enjoy the game,” head coach Chito Victolero said.

“Lahat ng players grabe. San Miguel side, side namin. I think the PBA fans will enjoy this Game 7,” he added.

Losing a 3-2 lead again, Victolero is fortunate to get another chance in Game 7.

That’s the whole point of getting a 3-2 lead anyway, you get two chances to close things out. After missing out on the first, Magnolia hopes to cash in on this second try.

“It boilds down to one game, do-or-die game on Wednesday,” Victolero said after the Game 6 loss Sunday.

“We’re still positive. Alam naman namin na hindi magiging madali. Good thing is we have another opportunity. It’s going to be a different story next game although hindi natin alam kung anong mangyayari,” he added.
