“Masarap mag-champion,” — Terrence Romeo.
Before the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup Finals started, Terrence Romeo hinted at a possible retirement if the Beermen ended up completing a historic 5-peat in the All-Filipino.
If San Miguel was to defend its title, it would have been Romeo’s first PBA title ever.
Now that the Beermen actually completed the 5-peat, scoring a sensational Game 7 win against Magnolia Wednesday at the Big Dome, attention naturally turns to Romeo.
Will Terrence, now a one-time PBA champion, actually go ahead with his retirement plans?
Not so fast.
“Biro lang yun,” Romeo told ABS-CBN Sports when asked about the topic.
“Masarap mag-champion,” he added.
After getting his first, Romeo plans to win more titles with the Beermen.
He had his moments for San Miguel in these All-Filipino Finals by playing a reserve role but Terrence wants to keep getting better so he can help his team more.
Romeo wants that hardware.
“Gusto ko pa makakuha ulit,” Terrence said as he chases more titles with the Beermen.
“Gusto ko pa magpa-galing, magpa-lakas ulit para sa susunod na conferences mas maka-tulong ako sa team,” he added.
