“Yung ginawa sakin, alam niyo naman na na-foul trouble ako, nag-graduate ako, ang sabi sakin, ‘hey get out of here’ parang umalis ka dito p**yu ka. Ah talaga? Tignan nyo muna yung lamang, sino ka bakit mo ako aanuhin. Nagkamali ka ata ng kinalaban,” Calvin Abueva.
Accused of making lewd gestures that were directed towards the girlfriend of an opposing player, Phoenix’s Calvin Abueva has aired his side on the previously-unknown incident that marred the Fuel Masters’ first game of the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
Blackwater rookie Ray Parks says that Abueva made inappropriate gestures and called his girlfriend Maika Rivera a “b****” after Calvin fouled out late in a Phoenix win Friday at the MOA Arena.
In his defense, Abueva was just answering back.
“Porke’t ba player kami kami lang mumurahin o ganyan-ganyan?” Abueva said.
“Yung ginawa sakin, alam niyo naman na na-foul trouble ako, nag-graduate ako, ang sabi sakin, ‘hey get out of here’ parang umalis ka dito p**yu ka. Ah talaga? Tignan nyo muna yung lamang, sino ka bakit mo ako aanuhin. Nagkamali ka ata ng kinalaban,” Calvin added.
The Beast admitted to be a pest on the court, that’s really no secret.
But Abueva says he’s taking offense for the things that happen outside.
“Ako gago ako sa court, pero kung gagaguhin mo ako, iba na yun. Rookie pa lang yung boyfriend mo nag-aangas ka na?” Abueva said.
“Anong reason niya na mag-ganun siya? Haler wala siya sa NBA, nasa Pilipinas siya. Wag silang mag-angas, ako pa yung may mali. Nasa court tayo,” he added.
Abueva also revealed that there were middle fingers thrown his way, which only prompted him to annoy the other party in retaliation.
In a separate interview, Parks wants Calvin to be fined and to issue an apology. Safe to say, Abueva has no plans of saying sorry.
At least for now.
“Bakit ako magpa-public apology? Nasa court tayo, wala naman tayo sa labas. Ako ba nauna?” Calvin said.
PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial talked to Parks’ girlfriend after the game and he says he’ll summon Abueva to his office next week.
However, he has also assigned Atty. Melvin Mendoza, the PBA’s legal partner, to be on top of the case.
