PBA: Northport destroys SMB by 33 points
Northport unloaded 37 points in the third and led by as many as 36 over the Beermen before eventually settling for a 33-point victory.

Northport once again regains share of the conference lead.

The Batang Pier destroyed San Miguel Beer Wednesday in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup, picking up a nice 121-88 win at the Big Dome.

Bouncing back from a previous loss to Ginebra, Northport tied for first place in the mid-season joust, now sporting a near-perfect 4-1 mark.

Northport unloaded 37 points in the third and led by as many as 36 over the Beermen before eventually settling for a 33-point victory.

"Na-ano lang namin na off night yung San Miguel Beermen," said head coach Pido Jarencio.

"Kami naman, basta sabi ko aggressive lang, keep on attacking," he added.

Northport certaily attacked, hitting from basically all cylinders.

The Batang Pier had seven players in double figures led by rookie Roebrt Bolick with 25 points.

Import Prince Ibeh had a solid 18 while Garvo Lanete and Jonathan Grey finished with 16 apiece.

The Beermen, about two weeks removed from the All-Filipino title, got 27 points from the returning Charles Rhodes and 19 from June Mar Fajardo.

San Miguel was without Chris Ross and Terrence Romeo due to injury while Kelly Nabong and Ronal Tubid are serving a three-game suspension.
