Rain or Shine is on the board.

The Elasto Painters got their first win of the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Friday and it came at the expense of defending champion Brgy. Ginebra at the Big Dome, 104-81.

ROS was dominant in the second half, improving to 1-2 for the mid-season joust. The champs dropped to 2-2 after their two-game streak came to an end.

The Elasto Painters landed the final haymaker in the fourth, outscoring Ginebra, 29-15, as they led by as many as 25 before getting the big 23-point victory.

Rey Nambatac was hot all game long, firing seven triples for a career-high 30 points.

Import Denzel Bowles also had a monster game, scoring 25 on top of 17 rebounds. Rookie Javee Mocon was the other Elasto Painter in double figures with 11 points.

Ginebra’s challenging title defense continued and it’s still super import Justin Brownlee doing most of the heavy lifting.

Brownlee led the Gin Kings with 30 points while Japeth Aguilar added 17. No other Ginebra player reached 10 points.
