PBA: New Magnolia import “Farr” from impressive in debut
Despite a lackluster debut, Farr is confident he can contribute to this talented Magnolia team.

Magnolia now has had two imports in two games for the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Both reinforcements didn’t impress.

John Fields was injured for his first game with the Hotshots and was promptly replaced by James Farr.

Farr, who debuted for Magnolia Wednesday against Northport, didn’t fare any better and finished with 11 points in less than 20 percent shooting, grabbed 14 rebounds.

He also dished out four assists against six turnovers in another Hotshots loss.

But unlike Fields though, at least Farr is healthy and ready to go.

“I just got here a couple of days ago, I’m still dealing with jet lag. But no excuses, my teammates played very hard and I couldn’t be more proud,” Farr said.

“If I’m gonna play, I have to play. I didn’t shoot the ball well at all but my teammates gave me confidence for the next game, this shows why they [were in] the championship,” he added.

Despite a lackluster debut, Farr is confident he can contribute to this talented Magnolia team.

He sees only good things as the Hotshots get into shape as the conference moves forward.

“Day by day, I’m still getting to know this team and this organization. But I see nothing but great things,” Farr said.

“I know that if we meet our potential, we can go very far,” he added.
