17 points, 14 rebounds, 16 assists, and six blocks for Terrence Jones vs. Ginebra.
Terrence Jones has flashed his incredible scoring prowess, putting up at least 40 points three times in six games in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup so far.
He’s also showed his defensive presence, anchoring the TNT defense with a combined 11 blocks against the imposing San Miguel and Ginebra frontlines in back-to-back games.
Still against the champion Gin Kings, Jones proved that he can be a creator as well, dishing out 16 assists in a huge TNT win against the barangay.
He also finished with 17 points, 14 rebounds, and six blocks.
“I juse see a lot of double teams very early and I just wanted to get my teammates involved,” Jones said of his 16 assists, 10 of which were dished by halftime.
“We’ve had a lot of games in a row now that I’ve just been continuing on growing and believing in my teammates, finiding them in open positions and making sure they’re comfortable shooting that shot,” he added.
TNT is now at 5-1 in the Commissioner’s Cup with Jones at the lead.
With three straight wins over Phoenix, San Miguel, and now Ginebra, the KaTropa are in a three-way tie for first place and looking great by the day.
“I think as a team, we’re only getting better. This game, with, you know, me struggling offensively, but finding my teammates for them to score just only builds character and builds us, you know, to be better teammates and just only grow our chemistry,” Jones said.
“And that’s what we did tonight [vs. Ginebra], and we’re just gonna continue on doing that,” he added.
