“Sobrang saya. It’s good to be back playing under coach Yeng.“ — Jericho Cruz.
Jericho Cruz’s arrival to NLEX didn’t lead to a win but there’s hope for the Road Warriors.
Playing his first game in about three months, Cruz logged in almost 28 minutes of play in his debut game as a Road Warrior, scoring six points to go along with three rebounds and a team-high eight assists.
“Sobrang saya. It’s good to be back playing under coach Yeng. First game ko palang I played minutes, so yung tiwala niya sakina nandoon pa rin,” Cruz said.
“Kailangan ko ibalik yung tiwala niya,” he added.
After a long layoff, Cruz is naturally just finding his way back now.
However, he’s ready to put in the extra work so he gets back to his former level faster in order to help the Road Warriors rack up some wins.
After the loss to Magnolia, NLEX is now 0-6 in the Commissioner’s Cup.
“Syempre almost three months out, kakabalik lang and three practices lang with NLEX. Pero okay lang, nakaka-adjust naman ako,” Cruz said.
“Back to work na. First to come in, last to come out again. Gotta work harder and harder,” he aded.
