PBA: No time to panic even as Hotshots struggle early again
To start the 2019 Commissioner’s Cup, the Hotshots are now 0-2.

Magnolia is having quite the hard time opening PBA conferences after making a Finals appearance.

Following a 2018 Governors’ Cup win, the Hotshots started the 2019 Philippine Cup with three straight losses and a 1-4 record.

Magnolia recovered and made the All-Filipino Finals, losing to San Miguel Beer in seven games.

To start the 2019 Commissioner’s Cup, the Hotshots are now 0-2.

While Magnolia has proven it can recover from a slow start, it’s certainly not ideal for the Hotshots to keep struggling in the mid-season joust.

“Makikita niyo naman talagang medyo wala pa eh,” head coach Chito Victolero said.

“Basta importante lang wag kaming malubog. Mahirap kasi kung 0-3 na naman, yung 1-4. So last time we had a hard time eh,” he added.

Down 0-2 in the Commissioner’s Cup, it’s certainly no time to panic yet for the Hotshots.

However, with a tough schedule coming up, Magnolia should start picking things up sooner rather than later.

“It’s not the time to panic, but kailangan namin mag-start na siguro manalo,” Victolero said.

“We will try again on Friday [vs. NLEX]. We have a very tough schedule, Friday and Sunday so three games to straight. Hopefully maka-recover yung mga players,” he added.
